History of Philips Stadion, the one and only home of PSV Eindhoven

Eindhoven - Philips StadionEindhoven - Philips Stadion14.07.2016: The second most successful team in the history of Dutch football, PSV Eindhoven, have been playing their matches at Philips Stadion, formerly known as Philips Sportpark, since the club was founded in 1913. At first, there was merely a pitch, and in 1915 a wooden stand was added, which could hold 550 spectators. Seventeen years later, the stadium capacity was increased to 900. The Phillips Sportpark, as it was then called, became a real stadium in 1941 when it was turned into an athletics stadium with a capacity of 18,000.
